Jola is an Albanian attorney-at-law and Partner at Kalo & Associates, with offices in Tirana and Pristina. She has extensive legal experience in advising and representing foreign corporations, international development agencies and financing institutions, government bodies and state-owned corporations in matters involving industries such as energy, natural resources, infrastructure, aviation, education and health. Jola is also specialized in international arbitration, having gained such experience both from her doctoral studies in Hamburg and her practice at the German law firm Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft. She often advises clients in investor-state arbitration matters in Albania and Kosovo. Jola has a strong academic interest and lectures at the University of New York Tirana. Her areas of research and publication include international investment arbitration, sustainable development and corporate social responsibility.
Jola holds a law degree from Tirana University (2004), as well as a Master of Law & Business degree (2008) and Doctor Iuris degree (2017) from Bucerius Law School, Hamburg. She speaks Albanian and English and has good knowledge of German, Italian and Spanish.
